Children with backpacks walk up stairs near a school building and a yellow school bus. SeMRHI's School-based Health Program offers medical screenings and lab tests, sick visits, immunizations, after-hours and weekend services at no out-of-pocket cost to parents.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We want to ensure your student has access to convenient, high-quality healthcare throughout the academic year. SeMRHI services are available to all students on each campus at no out-of-pocket cost to families. While utilizing these on-campus medical services is completely optional, we want to make sure you have the opportunity to enroll if you choose to do so.

What is SeMRHI?

The Southeast Mississippi Rural Health Initiative (SeMRHI) partners with our school district to provide a comprehensive School-Based Health Program. This program brings essential medical services directly to our campuses, allowing students to receive primary, preventive, and acute care without leaving campus. Whether your child needs a wellness check, care for a sudden illness, or routine screenings, the SeMRHI on-site clinic is here to support their overall health and academic success.
Welcome to SeMRHI: healthcare is for everyone. Our mission is to provide access to affordable quality primary and preventive health care to our communities in a patient centered, safe, compassionate environment.

Annual Registration Required

For your student to see SeMRHI at school, a new registration is required each school year. Completing this registration in advance ensures your child can seamlessly access the on-site clinic for the following services as needed:

  • Over-the-counter (OTC) medications while at school
  • Sports physicals
  • Sick visits
  • Well visits and preventative care
